Lastra collection is part of the next generation of domestic sustainable lighting. The technology of LEDs chip on board has important implications on the energy consumption and maintenance of light.
Nur is a collection of desk lights for reading or environmental/decorative applications. The lamps are made of one folded sheet of aluminium. In order to minimize the design by using the same material, while the geometry of the lamps sustains the elegant and sleek structure.
The technology used
The warm white LEDs are Luxeon Emitter power source, which are energy efficient (5W) and ultra compact, combining the lifetime and reliability advantages of Light Emitting Diodes with the brightness of conventional lighting (80 lumen).
Some facts on the LEDs
- Operating lifetime of up to 100,000 hours (equivalent to 25 years). For comparison, fluorescent tubes typically are rated at about 10,000 hours, incandescent bulbs at 1000-2000 hours
- LEDs produce more light per watt than incandescent bulbs
- LEDs use as little as one-seventh the energy as an incandescent bulb
- Operating on Low voltage
- Fully dimmable
- Healthier, no ultra violet rays
- Safe to the touch
